In February 2013, Greengauge 21 made a submission on the relationships between airport development and high-speed rail to the Airports Commission being led by Sir Howard Davies.
The evidence we provide is in summary form here, but is drawn from reports which have been published and are available in full on the Greengauge 21 website. Our submission is that the inter-relationship between high-speed rail and airport infrastructure (in particular, additional runway capacity) is extremely important and the issues need to be considered together in an integrated manner.
